Baby Smoothie Recipes - Simple Baby Smoothies to Share

Smoothies for your baby are nutritious and delicious.

 

 

Making baby smoothies is great for soothing sore gums from teething and are just plain fun.

 

Many of these Baby Smoothie Recipes are only suitable if baby has had yogurt, milk, and wheat and/or strawberries, other berries/citrus without any problems. Use your judgment when making these baby smoothie recipes for your baby.

 

Most of these recipes for baby smoothies are suitable for babies 9 months+. As always, please be sure to consult your pediatrician when in doubt and keep any allergies or past food reactions in mind.

Baby Smoothie Recipe - Carrot Smoothie

2 cups carrot juice,
1/2 cup apple juice,
6 oz non-fat vanilla or plain yogurt, frozen
1 banana broken or sliced into a few pieces ( use a frozen one)


Add all ingredients in blender and blend until desired consistency.

Baby Smoothie Recipe - Autumn Smoothie

1/2 cup plain, vanilla or banana yogurt
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup canned pumpkin
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
dash of ginger
1 frozen banana

 

Combine all ingredients together in a blender. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
Serves one grown-up and one baby.

Baby Smoothie Recipe - Winter Smoothie

1/2 cup plain, vanilla or banana yogurt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup cranberry sauce
1 apple, peeled, cored and cut into chunks
dash of cinnamon
1 frozen banana

 

Combine everything in a blender.
Blend until smooth. Serve immediately. Serves one grown-up and one baby.

Baby Smoothie Recipe - Banana Pumpkin Shake


1-cup milk or whole milk yogurt
2 tablespoons canned pumpkin
(or homemade puree pumpkin)
1 banana
dash of cinnamon


Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth and foamy.
Serve immediately.

note about strawberries for baby Please note that the recommendation for introducing strawberries is after a baby has reached 12 months of age. Many infants are introduced to strawberries earlier than 12 months old; most often when they have been eating Stage 2 commercial baby foods.

Baby Smoothie Recipe - Banana Mix

 

2 C. Pineapple Juice
2 ripe med. bananas, peeled & sliced
2 (8 oz.) cartons vanilla yogurt
1 C. fresh or frozen strawberries
2 Tbls wheat germ (opt.)
1 T. vanilla extract


Combine all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth

Baby Smoothie Recipe - Peachy Yogurt Cooler

1 c Chilled peach nectar or peach puree

1 c Milk
1 Container (6 ounces) plain yogurt
Ground nutmeg

 

Place nectar, milk and yogurt in blender. Cover and blend on high speed about 30 seconds or until smooth.

Baby Smoothie Recipe - Banana Cherry Strawberry Orange Ripple

 

2 8-ounce containers plain yogurt
2 bananas, peeled, cut into pieces
2 oranges, peeled, white pith removed,
cut into segments
16 frozen dark cherries
12 frozen strawberries

 

Combine 1 container yogurt, 1 banana, 1 orange, 8 cherries and 6 strawberries in blender.
Blend on medium speed until smooth. Divide between 2 glasses.
Repeat with remaining ingredients.

Baby Smoothie Recipe - Orange Julius:
1 c. milk
1/2 c. water
1/2 carton frozen oj concentrate
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 c. sugar (optional)
8-10 ice cubes

 

Add all ingredients together and blend on high.  You can throw other fruit in too like strawberries or raspberries. (Not suitable for infants under a year.)
